A junction of the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway main line just south of Rochier Heights allowed easier transfer of rolling stock from the mainline to the branch originally known as the Ozark & Cherokee Central main line.
The junction is still used by the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad to store railcars on a siding.
