The Meadow Valley School, District 98, was originally located at the intersection of Porter Road and Mount Comfort Road. There are some unifications it was moved to a site near the present-day Agri Park.
Land for the early school may have been provided by the Deane family, which owned and worked more than 300 acres of land east of the school. The school was at times referred to as the Deane School, too.
Fayetteville’s Meadow Valley Trail was named for the school.
