“McGarrah’s Field” was a farm field owned by the McGarrah family, one of the pioneer families that settled Fayetteville. The field covered an area approximately bounded by present-day Dickson, College, Maple and Willow streets. Also referred to as “McGarrah’s Corn Field.”
