Named for the Joy Pratt and Hogan Markham family, it runs from Razorback Road west to Pratt Place Inn. The road was early on known as “Maggie’s Road.”
The right-of-way for this road was acquired by Mary Magdalene “Maggie” Egle Pratt in late 1925. She then superintended construction of the road for five months to create a more direct route from the family home atop “Pratt Heights,” trading what had been a four-mile-long drive to town into a one-mile drive.
