The southeast corner of the Fayetteville Square appears to have been referred to as the “Blue Corner” in the early 1860s due to a commodities firm of the same name at that corner that promised to give “the highest cash prices for all kinds of Produce, or the full value of your money in goods.”
Today, the historic Guisinger Building is at that location.
