Arkansas Highway 16, running from the Oklahoma border through Wedington Gap and the agricultural fields along the Illinois River to Fayetteville and eastward along the rich upper White River valley to St. Paul, Pettigrew, Boston and Red Star in the heart of Ozarks, has always been a breadbasket route of sorts for Fayetteville and among the most scenic drives in Arkansas. Postally unused, this card was printed by the E.C. Kropp Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, circa 1950.
