Brenda Kay Wood, age 75, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday August 13, 2026. She was born June 26, 1951, in Fayetteville to Robert and Alice Center.

Brenda spent her entire life in Fayetteville. She was a graduate of Greenland High School and loved to talk about her high school days playing basketball. She was an amazing homemaker, spending several years raising her boys at home, before joining the work force. She retired from Blackhills Energy in 2009, to spend time with her grandchildren.
Brenda loved Jesus and lived with a love that overflowed into everything around her. She cherished her family, her church, her friends, and she loved her precious dog Buck, fiercely. Brenda found joy in the simple things-camping, peaceful mornings on the porch, tending her garden, and cooking the dishes we all loved. Her warmth and care were felt by all who knew her. She was loved deeply, and we will forever carry her in our hearts as our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma and friend.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Millicent Center. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronnie Wood; two sons, Nathan Wood and his wife Jennifer of Fayetteville and Shane Wood and his wife Cassi of West Fork; two sisters, Linda McCawley and her husband Larry of Fayetteville and Mary Pezant and her husband Bruce of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Edward “Gene’ Center of West Fork; eight grandchildren, Cory Wood and his wife Rebecca, Payton Wood and his wife Anna, Brayden Wood, Weston Boyd, Christian Wood and his wife Hang, Willa Boyd and her husband Kolten, Trey Wood, Bella Wood and one great grandchild, Baine Wolf.
