Fayetteville Academy

In 1841, the Fayetteville Academy was announced in the local newspaper as being in successful operation. The school had secured the services of the Rev. William Scull, a minister of the Protestant Episcopal Church who had a “good knowledge of the modern, ancient and dead languages.”

It was still in operation by at least 1846 and sometimes referred to as the 1840 Male Academy. Its location is not known.
