Fairview Memorial Park Association purchased 28 acres of land on Mission Boulevard and established a cemetery in 1925.
It’s located on the northwest bend of Mission near its intersection with North Winwood Drive and East Viewpoint Drive.
Among the earliest burials were reinterments of students, a faculty member and an alumnus from College Cemetery to Fairview in 1928.
The cemetery also includes a 30-seat mausoleum chapel.
The cemetery today is owned and operated by Berna Funeral Home.
