Cane Hill Road

The Cane Hill Road was one of two routes running southwesterly from Fayetteville to Van Buren. As the name suggests, the road went to Cane Hill and then south toward Evansville and following much of the present-day Arkansas Highway 59 south.

Though more circuitous, Cane Hill Road was an easier, safer route than the other, the Boston Mountain Road, which ran in a more direct route from Fayetteville to Van Buren but over rugged and steep conditions.
