The headwaters of Cato Springs Branch start southwesterly of Fayetteville near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 265 and Kessler Mountain Road. It runs north-northeast alongside Highway 265, under Insterstate 49 and Cato Springs Road, and then to Greathouse Park, where it feeds into Town Branch.
