Ex-TU Prof’s Rites Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Graveside rites for Dr. Emile E. Ader, University of Arkansas political science professor and former University of Tulsa faculty member, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery here.
Nelson’s Funeral Service is in charge.
Ader, 48, died Thursday at his home following a lengthy illness. He was one of the youngest full professors ever on the TU faculty, serving from 1948-65. He joined the faculty at Arkansas in 1967.
Recognized as an expert on Southern politics, Ader was the author of five books. His most recent volume, “A Study of Communism,” was published last year.
Ader received his BA and MA degrees from Tulane University and his doctorate from the University of California.
Surviving are his widow, Mariana Ader; two sons, Robert Emile Ader of New York and Brian Ader of Dallas, and one daughter, Michele Ader of
Los Angeles.
