Funeral service for the Rev. Alfred Lee Buchanan, retired pastor of St. James Methodist Church who died Jan. 19 was held Thursday afternoon at St. James Methodist Church by the Rev. Lloyd
Smith, church pastor, the Rev. Earl Hughes, pastor of Wiggins Memorial Methodist Church; the Rev. Johnny Thrasher, pastor of the Baldwin Christian Church and the Rev. James W. Rainwater, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial with Masonic service by Hill City Lodge was in Oak Cemetery with arrangements in charge of Watson Mortuary.
Pallbearers were Major Blackburn, Jr., Lewis Bryant, Jr., Rex Ball, Russell Blye, Carlos Carr, and Wayne Wilks.
