John Albert Henbest of Mount Comfort passed away quietly at his home on the morning of Friday, July 18th. Mr. Henbest came to Arkansas in 1866 and has lived here continuously since that time. He is survived by his wife and ten children, three sons and seven daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral services held yesterday at the Mount Comfort Church.
The father of the deceased came from England to this country, settling at Marshall, Ilinois, where Mr. Henbest was born in 1849.
A friend pays the deceased the fol-
lowing tribute:
“Mr. Henbest was a good, industrious, enterprising citizen, clean and upright in his business relations, generous and accommodating as a neighbor, and tender and devoted to his family. His devotion to his family was repaid in a mensure by the thoughtful, tender, and loving ministry of his children as they unselfishly ministered to him in his last illness.
“He has gone to his reward but his life-work remains with us as a perpetual monument to his true manhood and his unfaltering devotion to duty:”
