Randy Browne, born November 21, 1958, passed away on August 18, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 67. A devoted father, gifted musician, and lifelong animal lover, Randy’s presence brought humor and creativity into every space he occupied.

Randy grew up in Fayetteville, Ark., where his love of music first took root. An accomplished guitarist, he spent his life exploring sound, craftsmanship, and the joy of sharing music with others. His guitars were never just instruments — they were extensions of his spirit.
Randy’s compassion extended far beyond people. He had an extraordinary tenderness for animals, always ready to care for the injured, the abandoned, or the sick. His home was often a refuge for creatures in need, and his kindness left a lasting impact on all who witnessed it.
He leaves behind his treasured stepdaughter, Molly C. Tripp; and his beloved son, Lawrence Ian Browne, who carries forward his father’s love, humor, and resilience. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Leland and Katherine (Kay); and his brother, Larry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Austin Bulldog Rescue in Austin, Texas, honoring Randy’s lifelong devotion to animals and his commitment to the animals he rescued.
A small memorial service honoring Randy’s life will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., in 2027, the place where his story began and where his memory will continue to live on.
