Dave Hinton

David “Dave” Simmons Hinton passed away August 6, 2026, in Fayetteville after a long illness. He was born in Fayetteville to Joesph Simmons Hinton & Mary Kathrine Harrison Hinton on March 26, 1949.

He is survived by his son, Bryce Harrison Hinton, of Fayetteville, his older brother Joe Hinton of Texas & Mary K. Allen his sister Also a niece, MeMe Vines Hagers & nephews Joe David Hinton & Brandon Hinton, and also his only grandchild Raygen Hinton. Both parents are deceased.

David or “Dave” as he liked to be called graduated from Fayetteville High and attended UALR. He was a Catholic and went to St. Joesph Catholic School until High School. Dave was lifelong resident of Fayetteville. His Family owned George’s Majestic Lounge from the 1940s until 2001, Top Hat & Jug Wheeler’s drive-thrus on Dickson street.

David worked in sales at Sears for many years before getting his real estate appraisal license.

David loved fishing the Beaver & Bull Shoals Lakes and the White River. He had been a member of the Bass Club for many years. He also enjoyed playing golf at Paradise Valley.

No funeral services are planned. At his request he will be cremated & ashes scattered at a later.
