Jane Elizabeth Reagan Renfrow, 84, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away at her home on June 1, 2026. Born on July 17, 1941, to Bruce and Louise (Polk) Reagan Renfrow in Rio Grande City, Texas, she was the oldest of two.

As the daughter of a military officer, she lived in many different places growing up, including in Texas, Oklahoma, California, Germany and Venezuela. While in Germany, she learned to speak the native language fluently. She also learned Spanish while in college and went on to become a Spanish teacher.
After graduating from high school in Sacramento, California, she attended University of Arkansas where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught Spanish at Fayetteville High School during where her younger brother, Geno, introduced her to Ed.
Jane married Ed on June 14, 1964, and after a short stint in Neosho, Missouri, they made their home in Northwest Arkansas where they kept an open door to foreign exchange students, athletes, friends, and family. Jane was the consummate host and very intentional about providing meals, accommodations, or whatever other needs those around her may have had.
In addition to teaching, Jane earned a library certification and served as a librarian at Asbell Elementary in Fayetteville, Southside Elementary in Siloam Springs, and Peavine Elementary in Stillwell, Oklahoma.
After retiring from education, Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering in the community, travelling with Ed, reading, crocheting, and cooking. She was involved in a bible study for many years, taught Sunday School, and attended her church faithfully.
Jane is survived by her daughters Mindy married to Michael and Lori married to Stephen; grandchildren Jordan (Connor), Joshua (Katie), Olivia (Ben), and Ella; and great-grandsons Alister, Nolan and Robinson. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Phillip, married to Nancy; two nephews and one niece; three great-nephews and four great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Renfrow, her parents, Bruce and Louise Reagan, and her brother, Geno Reagan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank or Arkansas Children’s Hospital, two organizations that were especially meaningful to Jane.
