Janet Elizabeth (Engler) McCreary was born on February 25, 1939, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Kyle and Thelma Helen (Rawlings) Engler. She died on February 17, 2026, at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto, Mo., at the age of 86.
She was a graduate of University High School.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Martha (husband, Jeff) Duncan of St. Clair, MO and son, John (wife, Suzie) McCreary of Waterloo, IL; grandsons, Aaron (Katie Grimm) Valeck, Kenny (Abby) McCoy and Keith (Aleah) McCoy; great-grandchildren, Connall, Oliver, Charlie, Paxton, Dalton, Finleigh, Isla, and Sullivan; and one brother, Robert Engler of Bentonville, Arkansas.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Reverend Jack Foster McCreary, and one brother, Phillip Engler.
Janet was a seamstress.
