7Hills was founded in 2001 as a day center, providing meals, clothing, food and other basic resources to people experiencing homelessness. The shelter has since expanded to provide a wide variety of services, including three types of re-housing programs. In 2007, the shelter built the Walker Family Residential Community, which provides transitional housing and permanent supportive housing to individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness.
