Carlos Carr Jr.

Carlos Carr Jr, 73, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Fayetteville. He was born March 12, 1948, in Fayetteville to Carlos and Jewel Smith Carr Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Danny Carr, Sandra Taylor and Leona Carr.

Carlos had a great sense of humor. He liked to hunt and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to ride motorcycles and work on cars (he was the local “neighborhood mechanic”). Carlos played baseball while attending Arkansas AM&N. He was an avid Razorbacks fan. Carlos enjoyed watching westerns. He was a family man and a member of Combs Street Church of Christ. Carlos retired from Pinnacle Foods after more than 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lynell Cook Carr of the home; a son, Brian Carr of Fayetteville; three sisters, Sarah Thrower (Rufus) of Little Rock, Glenda Deffebaugh (Phil) of Fayetteville and Karen Carr of Little Rock; a brother, Darrel Carr (Valerie) of Blytheville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Beard’s Chapel with Steve West officiating. Interment will follow in Oaks Cemetery.
