Billie Frances Mitchell Malone, 79, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Rowlett, Texas, with family by her side. Billie was retired and spent her time helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Billie was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on December 7, 1946, and graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1964. After graduating, she worked as a switchboard operator, taking a position in San Francisco, California. She packed up in her beloved ’64 and a half white Mustang with a soft top and took off to the West Coast. While working in California, she met the love of her life. They were married in December 1965 and had two children.
Billie loved to make people laugh, and if you ever met her, you knew about her ‘mouse tattoo.’ She was an amazing cook and baker and took great pride in making cakes for her family’s special occasions. She was a devoted caretaker who always made sure everyone had eaten and had all their favorite snacks in hand. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to joke with her grandsons-in-law, James and Austin, who were easy to embarrass, and she took every opportunity to do so. Her multitude of great-grandchildren, by birth or by name, were deeply loved and she cared for each of them the same. She will be profoundly missed by all her knew her.
She is survived by her two children; daughter Kendra Malone Aquatero and son-in-law Andrew Aquatero Jr. and son Gregory Paul Malone; four grandchildren, Amanda (Gregory) Fisher, Erin (James) Mitchell, Skylar Malone, and Ben Kinslow; five great grandchildren, John Aquatero, Nicole Fisher, Gino Fisher, James “Birdie” Mitchell, and Andrew Mitchell; her brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Mitchell; as well as many brothers-and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Malone; son, Thomas Wray Malone; father, William Robert Mitchell; mother Lillie Mae Holt-Mitchell; brother, Leon Mitchell; and sisters, Louise Thompson and Victoria Peoples.
Services will be held at a later date.
