Evelyn Jones Anderson from Fayetteville, Arkansas bravely fought cancer for over two years, but unfortunately she lost the battle. She departed this life, Monday, September 22, 2025.

She was born in Forrest City, Arkansas, October 29, 1952 to the late Thelma Bryant and late Arthur Jones. Evelyn went to the University of Arkansas where she met and married Nianzer Earl Anderson. She was employed with Campbell Soup turned Vlasic until she retired. She went on to work for the City Hospital and Washington Regional Hospital in the dietary department.
Evelyn is the mother of four children — Zenobia Michelle (James) Bailey of Texarkana, Ark.; Essabia A. (Oscar Anozra) Anderson of Bentonville, Ark.; Neandria Anderson of Fayetteville; Adonis Anderson of Fayetteville.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Nianzer Anderson (2009); grandson Donavan Anderson (2011); sister-in-law Karen Bryant (2005); sister-in-law Johnny Mae Dangerfield (2019); brother-in-law Reverend Carrol Anderson (2021); brother-in-law William Lofton (2023); and sister-in-law Carolyn Anderson (2024).
She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, host of nephews and nieces and friends. Her two sisters Sheila E. Lofton of Little Rock, Ark.; Valerie Annette Thomas of Sherwood, Ark.; and two brothers Ollie J. Bryant of Forrest City, Ark.; George M. (Tanya) Bryant of Sherwood, Ark.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Beard’s Chapel. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service-time at the funeral home on Friday.
