Leflar, Robert A. The First 100 Years: Centennial History of the University of Arkansas (University of Arkansas Foundation, Fayetteville: 1972) Leflar's history builds and expands upon the earlier histories of the university by Hale and by Reynolds and Thomas. Leflar's own history with the university began in 1918 when he entered the university as a freshman. He returned to the university to teach law, eventually becoming dean of the School of Law and later continuing to teach long after retirement. His centennial history shows both intimate knowledge of many of the most historic events that occurred on campus as well as a historian's nose for digging into board of trustees minutes.
