The first women’s dormitory built on the University of Arkansas campus, Carnall Hall was named for one of the university’s first female faculty members, Ella Howison Carnall. Construction began in 1905 and finished by 1906. This post card was published by A.C. McAdams, who owned a drug store in Fayetteville. It was postmarked Monette & Paris on Groundhog Day, 1910. It was sent by someone living at 628 West Maple Street and addressed to Miss Henryetta Moore in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Part of it reads: “Hello Fort Smith, Well you see I have changed my address.”
