The Agriculture Building at the University of Arkansas was built in 1927, one of the first buildings designed in the Collegiate Gothic architectural style that dominated the campus through the mid part of the century. It was constructed of Batesville limestone with sills of Minnesota granite. It initially housed the departments of agronomy, horticulture, plant pathology, rural economics and sociology, and entomology as well as a library. This card was printed by Curt Teich and Company of Chicago, Illinois. It was postmarked at Fayetteville on December 5, 1946, and addressed to Lois Talley of Bryon, Oklahoma. It reads: “Opal & Elsie just got here OK. One flat. Dad not much change. Tell Ellis any who comes bring armey cot & bedding & some thing to eat. We moved. have a little stove wear I doing our cooking … There isn’t anything to write about. Stay well … W.T.”
