The University of Arkansas campus is shown as it appeared circa 1955 from an airplane. The Fine Arts Center was built in 1950, but Waterman Hall doesn’t appear to have been built yet. Aside from Old Main near the center of the card, other prominent buildings include the Engineering Building in the foreground and the Business Administration Building just behind it. The Chemistry Building and Vol Walker Hall sit just behind Old Main. Razorback Stadium is at the upper left while the baseball and practice fields are at upper middle, where the Pat Walker Health Center and Northwest Quad stand today. The Home Economics Building and Agriculture Building lead further to the right, where a cluster of buildings includes the Law School, Memorial Hall and Peabody Hall. Postally unused, this card was printed by Curteich of Chicago, Illinois, from a photograph by Puska for S.&S. News Agency of Fort Smith, which had newsstands in Fayetteville.
