Charles Watson

Charles Joseph Watson, a native of this city and for many years lived at Cane Hill, this county, died at noon yesterday at his home in South McAlester, I.T., after being a sufferer from consumption for years. He was a son of the late W.A. Watson, and is survived by eight brothers and sisters, all of whom are well known in this city and vicinity. A good man has gone to his reward; gentle, dutiful and kind, he was true to his friends, devoted to his family and affectionate to his relations. He was an exemplary christian and a good citizen and probably had not an enemy upon earth. His numerous friends in Fayetteville remember him kindly, and his passing away is a loss to all who knew him.
