Most of Wilson Hollow disappeared when the creek running through it was dammed to create Wilson Lake, a city park. A hiking trail encircles the north end of the lake and crosses an extant portion of the creek where the ephemeral feel is still that of a hollow.

Lake Wilson Park comprises approximately 320 acres of land with 28 acres of lake. The lake was Fayetteville’s first water supply reservoir, augmenting earlier water sources on the West Fork of the White River.
